A little spice is always welcomed when we entertain. Here’s an appetizer that vanishes like we had hired a magician to preform a disappearing act. Yes- so delicious and simple, my stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. Any day and any time this quick appetizer will be a hit at your next gathering or potluck invite.
Ingredients:
10 large jalapeños
1 1/2 -8oz cream cheese, soften room temperature
Optional: 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 package thin cut bacon, cut each strip in half
Fresh ground black pepper
Optional: Sprigs of cilantro for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven 400 degrees
Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper, set aside.
Cut jalapeños peppers, Halved lengthwise, remove membrane and seeds.
Mix cream cheese, black pepper and if using cheddar cheese together.
Stuff each jalapeño pepper with cream cheese mixture. Add sprig of cilantro under bacon.
Wrap each with bacon place on baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bacon crisp. Optional: Garnish with more fresh cilantro on top. serve on a festive platter.
Makes 20 baked Jalapeños. Serve Hot or room temperature. Enjoy!
Another favorite way that I like to make my Baked Jalapeños instead of wrapping them with bacon. Cut the bacon in small pieces and mix into the cream cheese with herbs and fill then bake.
