In my first post, I will be sharing with you all my experience while visiting Heller Estate Organi Vineyards fantastic tasting room located at 69 W Carmel Valley Road in Carmel Valley, California.
Upon entering the doors of this most fascinating tasting room, my first impression was how welcoming and cozy the atmosphere was around me. It was truly impressive to see so many of their award winning wines all in one place. The tasting room contained an abundance of fun wine related gifts and even featured a mini art gallery. As visitors trickled in, I observed a warm welcome to individuals, couples and even larger parties to sit down and enjoy their wine. Patrons of Heller Estate have a choice to remain inside or to explore the beautiful, tranquil garden that is decorated with several incredible sculptures designed by Toby Heller herself.
The friendly staff come right to you so that you can continue tasting wines wherever you choose! Personally, I encourage you to bring a picnic, nothing is better than relaxing in the garden, sipping on wine and nibbling on cheese and crackers. As I sat and enjoyed my lunch, I happened to make a friend named Mr. Corgi, which reminded me that the garden is dog-friendly.
My overall impression of Heller Estate was one of great satisfaction. Their wines are award winners for a reason, and being able to sample them and experience their complex flavors is such a treat. I enjoyed all of my tastings, but the one I favored the most would have to be the 2011 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, leaving a mouth filled with a fruity, bold taste and smooth finish. Being able to explore their beautiful property and still taste wines without being bound to the tasting room itself is incredible to say the least. And with a dog-friendly policy, the pet-loving residents of Carmel (and other pro-pet communities) would most definitely consider this the cherry on top. I would highly recommend for you to come and visit Heller Estate Organic Vineyards and more specifically its tasting room. Whether you’re flying solo or accompanied by your entire group of friends, the experience will most definitely be a memorable one!
